Homework

It can help children to follow up an interest, to learn in greater depth and to bring ideas from their own community into school.

It can help develop a child’s self-discipline, enjoyment and motivation to learn .

The time spent on homework should increase in proportion to the child’s age and ability to concentrate. We ask parents to support their child by ensuring that he/ she completes homework with care and regularly. . Teachers will write a letter to parents to inform them when homework will be given and when it must be returned. Teachers will keep a record of homework handed in and report on commitment to homework in end of year reviews to parents. A weekly homework club will be offered to all pupils in Key Stage 2.
